How does 911 Sentinel compare to Verkada?

With Verkada you buy the cameras (a CD22 dome lists at $799) and a license for each one in 1-, 3-, 5- or 10-year terms. Professional monitoring is a separate alarm license per site: $600 a year for Basic Alarms or $1,500 for Video Alarms. Verkada's agents verify video, talk down intruders through a Verkada horn speaker, call your contacts, and request police. 911 Sentinel leases the camera instead and includes installation, maintenance, and monitoring from $900/mo, with an alert in 30 seconds and an operator acting within 3 minutes.

Why choose 911 Sentinel over Verkada

Nothing to buy

Verkada cameras are bought, from $799 each, and every one needs its own license. Ours are leased, installed, and maintained for one monthly price, and we take them back at the end.

Monitoring isn't an extra license

Verkada monitoring is a separate per-site alarm license, $600 to $1,500 a year, and talk-down needs a BZ11 horn speaker with its own license. Our price includes the operator, the recorded warning, the siren, and the spotlights.

Easy to stop

Verkada licenses run 1 to 10 years, and alarms switch off 30 days after one lapses. We start with a 30-day free trial, then it's month to month with one month's notice, and we collect the cameras.

What you pay for

911 Sentinel camera monitoring starts at $900 a month for one leased camera, installation, maintenance, an 8-hour daily monitoring window, and 90 days of video. Every contract starts with a 30-day free trial, then is month to month with one month's notice. For Verkada, one CD22 camera and a 1-year Video Alarms license total $2,299 at the listed prices ($799 + $1,500). That is not a complete system cost: it excludes installation and the required camera license, and the monitoring scope differs. Camera licenses, connectivity, taxes, and renewal costs must also be considered before comparing longer periods.

Common questions

Is 911 Sentinel cheaper than Verkada?

Up front, yes. Verkada cameras are bought (a CD22 dome lists at $799), each one needs a license, and monitoring is a separate alarm license of $600 to $1,500 a year per site. 911 Sentinel has nothing to buy: camera monitoring starts at $900 a month with the camera, installation, maintenance, and monitoring included.

What cameras do you use? Can you use mine?

We install a leased outdoor camera with a speaker, siren, and spotlights. Models such as the TP-Link Tapo C320WS, the Reolink RLC-811A, and the Reolink Duo 3 PoE all qualify. If your existing cameras give a real-time video feed we can access, we can monitor those instead.

Is there a minimum contract?

No fixed minimum. After the 30-day free trial it's month to month with one month's notice. The equipment is leased, so there's no hardware to buy.

Do I have to install anything?

No. We install and maintain a leased camera, and you never buy hardware. Each camera needs a powered outlet and an internet connection, which we check at the site assessment.
